William Jeffrey Scott, dearly beloved father and husband, age 43, of Hagerstown, Md., died on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his brother’s home in Warfordsburg, Pa.

Born July 26, 1974, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of Buddy C. and Edna J. (Getshall) Scott, of Williamsport, Md.

He had served in the U.S. Army, where he earned the rank of Sgt. He received several medals and awards while serving his country in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Germany.

Prior to his military service, he was employed as a security officer with Guilford Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Dundalk, Md.

In addition to his parents, William is survived by his wife, Charity Hope (Ensor) Scott, of Hancock, Md.; three children, Angelina, Alexander, and Ace Scott; a brother, Christopher Scott, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; his three aunts, including one special aunt, Chris Getshall, in California; and two cousins, Tina and Greg, in California.

He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents.

A graveside service will be held in the Rocky Gap Veteran’s cemetery, in Flintstone, Md., on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with military honors conducted by the Fort Cumberland Post 13 American Legion, out of Cumberland, Md.,

Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md.
