Wanda Souders

Wanda Lee Ritz Souders, age 75, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at the Fulton County Medical Center, in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born October 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Gladys and Guy Ritz, of Warfordsburg.

Wanda previously worked at Sagner Sewing Factory, in McConnellsburg, Pa., and for the last several decades enjoyed being a homemaker.

She was a member of Mays Chapel Christian Church, in Warfordsburg.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle S. Souders, whom she married December 24, 1961; four sons, Steven Souders and wife, Karen, Darren L. Souders and wife, Dawn, David Souders and Patrick Souders and wife, Chera, all of Warfordsburg; one brother, James Ritz, of Warfordsburg; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie Lee Souders; one brother, Leon Ritz; and one sister, Dolores Ray.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at Mays Chapel Christian Cemetery, in Warfordsburg, Pa. Rev. Delmas Bard and Rev. Richard Bernhard will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 17, from 2 until 4 p.m., and 6 until 8 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md.

The family requests that memorial donations, in her name, may be made to the Grove Funeral Home to help defray final expenses.
