Sarah Beatrice “Beaty” Norris, age 94, of Little Orleans, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Western Maryland Health System, in Cumberland, Md.

Born May 2, 1918, in Artemas, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary E. Barkman Bowman, and the widow of Donald M. Norris, who died in 1969.

She was retired from Londontown Manufacturer, in Hancock.

She was a member of the Piney Plains United Methodist Church, and the Piney Plains United Methodist Women. She was the last surviving member of her family.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Phyllis E. Norris, of Little Orleans; grandchildren, Gaynell Stull and friend, Jeff McBee, of Grayson, Ga., Greg Norris and wife, Pam, of Little Orleans, Valerie Hornbaker and husband, Mark, of Smyrna, Ga., Patrick Norris and wife, Lura, of Hancock, Md.; great-grandchildren, Ashley Divelbiss and husband, James, of Little Orleans, Beth Keidel and husband, George, of Martinsburg, W.Va., Todd Norris and friend, Katlyn Dilley, of Little Orleans, Deidre Omps and husband, Allen, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Andrew Norris and fiancée, Danielle Johnson, of Hancock, Rachel Norris, of Warfordsburg, Pa., Chloey Norris and Charleigh Norris, of Hancock; step-great-granddaughter, Mia Hornbaker, of Columbia, Md.; great-great-grandchildren, Brock Divelbiss, of Little Orleans, Montana Dilley, of Little Orleans, Roman Omps, of Berkeley Springs, Brantley Norris, of Hancock; and step-great-great-grandson, Brady Wilt, of Hancock.

She was preceded in death by sons, Carl T. Norris, and Marvin “Buddy” Norris; daughter, Norma VonLeuenberger; two sisters and three brothers.

A service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Piney Plains United Methodist Church. Rev. John Close will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
