Roger Eugene “Pops” Leasure, age 66, of Warfordsburg, died on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at the Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born August 16, 1948, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of Betty Jane (Hixon) Leasure, of Warfordsburg, and the late McKinley R. Leasure, and the widower of Linda Lou Booth Leasure, who passed away September 1, 2003.

He was a 1966 graduate of Southern Fulton High School.

He was retired from U.S. Silica, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., after 40 years.

He was a member of the Teamsters Local 992, in Hagerstown, Md.

Besides his mother, he is survived by four sons, Byron E. Leasure, Steve Leasure and wife, Karen, John K. Leasure and wife, Brandi, all of Warfordsburg, and Thomas B. Leasure and wife, Lyndora, of McConnellsburg, Pa.; two sisters, Linda Elbin, of Artemas, Pa., and Alesa I. Naymon, of Huntsville Al.; one brother, Rocky L. Leasure, of Everett, Pa.; and ten grandchildren, Taylor, McKenzi, Zachary, Christopher, Jonathan, Weston, Wyatt, Issac, Codey, and Jasmine. Also surviving is his companion, Leona E. Sipes , of Hancock.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Buck Valley Christian Church, 2281 Harmonia Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. Pastor Denver Plessinger will officiate. Interment will follow in the Buck Valley Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Thursday from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 p.m., and at the Church for one hour prior to services on Friday.
