Robert Schline

Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania

Robert Weldon Schline, age 92,  formerly of Warfordsburg, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Woodland Retirement Center, in Orbisonia, Pa.

Born March 19, 1920, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late William H. and Mary C. Dentz Schline.

He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army in Burma, India, China, and Germany.

He was retired from the railroad as a maintenance mechanic.

He was a member of the Warfordsburg United Methodist Church. He was a private school supervisor, and he was an accomplished artist in oil painting.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews; and close friends, Calvin and Cheryl Barton, Roger, Randy and Ronnie Ward.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.

A service will be held on Saturday, March 9, at 11:00 a.m., at the Warfordsburg United Methodist Church. Rev. Frank Kocek will officiate. Burial will be in the Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, in Amaranth, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
