Robert Grant "Bob" Diehl, age 74, of Hancock, died on Monday, September 26, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born Saturday, March 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Grant and Betty (Barnhart) Diehl, and the husband of Patricia “Patti” (Deneen) Diehl, whom he married on June 21, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev.

He was a graduate of Hancock High school with the class of 1960.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 until 1964.

He was owner/operator of Accent Builders, in Hancock.

He was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion, in Hancock, and a former member of the loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Niki Romsburg and husband, Paul, Jr., of Williamsport, Md., Kendra Apple Davies and husband, Chris, of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Cassie Lee Apple Davies and husband, Troy, of Hagerstown, Md.; brothers, Wayne Diehl, of Hancock, Grant Diehl, ll and wife, Alberta, of Warfordsburg, Pa., and David Diehl and wife, Tina, of Hancock; sisters, Shirley Bishop and husband, Lloyd, of Hancock, and Melody Bowman and husband, Wayne, of Everett, Pa.; grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce, and Brady Romsburg, Dylan Apple, Taylor, Alex, Ryland, and Carter Davies, Seth, Zachary, Kylie, Lyssa, and Kaylee Davies; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, William “Bill” Diehl.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 12:00 p.m., at the Hancock Assembly of God, 431 North Pennsylvania Ave., in Hancock. Rev. Chuck Donovan and Rev. Tim Swindell will officiate. Burial, with military honors by the Tri-State Honor Guard, will be in the Orchard Ridge First Church of God Cemetery, near Hancock.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday, September 30, 2016, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., and also one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21742.
