Richard Carroll Leighty, born June 24, 1937, in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, passed away on December 29, 2025, and went to meet his Heavenly Father.
Richard lived a life rooted in faith. An avid outdoorsman and athlete, he loved hunting, fishing, and sports. He proudly coached Little League. He worked three years at the sand mine before dedicating 38 years of service to the United States Postal Service.

Known lovingly as "Pierre" to the ladies at Pats Hair Design. A man of strong faith, he attended Needmore Bible Church and served in a bus ministry in Fairfax, Virginia.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margie Leighty. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Patricia Leighty; his children, Pamela Kester (husband Rusty Kester) and Greg Leighty (wife Rhonda Leighty); four grandchildren, Christine Oakley, Jason Oakley, Emily Jones & Ben Leighty; and seven great-grandchildren.
