Rebecca Ann Faith

Rebecca Ann Faith, 67, of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born April 6, 1959, in McConnellsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Hoover and Emma Mae Coffman DeShong.

Rebecca was a 1977 graduate of Greencastle Antrim High School. She went on to attend Shippensburg University, studying elementary education and psychology. She continued her education, studying medical assisting at Hagerstown Business College.

She worked at K-Mart in Waynesboro, PA for over twenty years. She then worked at Dr. Andrade’s office and then as an insurance agent for Aflac.

Rebecca was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob where she served as church Mother and, in 2014, graduated bible school.

She was a very crafty person who loved all art forms. She would crochet custom dolls, making her own patterns. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, baking cakes for her husband to decorate. She was a therapist to all; she was available at all hours of the day or night for anyone to call to confide in her and get her advice and words of wisdom.

Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of forty-five years, Stephen H. Faith; two daughters, Stephanie, wife of James Barton, Jr, and Sarah, wife of John Hill, Jr; two granddaughters, Madison and Olivia Barton; one grandson, Noah Hill; siblings, Samuel I. DeShong, Michele DeShong, and Nathan DeShong and wife Christie; eight nieces and nephews, Shayna, Jacob, Trenton, Hayden, Samuel, Joshua, Chelsea, and Chartre; three great nieces and two great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Stephen Harry Faith, Jr.
