Reba Ellen (Fletcher) Munson

Reba Ellen (Fletcher) Munson, 88, Hancock, MD., passed away, Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Fahrney Keedy Nursing Home in Boonsboro, MD.

Born December 29, 1934, in Little Orleans, MD., she was the daughter of the late Phillip H. and Etta (Price) Fletcher and the widow of Lawrance Munson.

She was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Hancock, MD.

Reba was employed at London Fog Manufacturing Company, Hancock, MD., for over 25 years. She also worked part-time for Alice’s Manufacturing Company in Hagerstown, MD.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Everyone knew her for her cooking, baking and crafting skills. She enjoyed traveling and playing games with her family and friends who will deeply miss her. She, and her husband, were hard workers for the church; they enjoyed helping in any way they could.

She is survived by three daughters, Diane, and husband, Mark Faith, Linda Elbin, all of Hancock, MD., and Carrie, and husband Greg Quintana, of Aurora, CO.; six grandchildren, Michael Myers, Diana McCarty, and husband, Brant, Mark I. Faith, and wife Stacy, Natalie Jones, Hope Strait, and husband, Brian, and Tyler Jones; six great-grandchildren, Devon McCarty, Taylor and Noah Snyder, and Alicia, Alexis and Evan Strait; several nieces and nephews; and one brother, Aaron Fletcher, and wife, Maxine.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Clem Fletcher, Phillip Fletcher, Allan Fletcher, Boyd Fletcher; four sisters, Valna Purnell, Margaret Fields, Iona Creek, Norma Lee Creek; and one son-in-law, Eugene Elbin.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 10-11:00 am at Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St, Hancock, MD. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 at the funeral home. Pr. Elder Caleb Wilt and Pr. Elder Eric Lydia will officiate. Burial will be at the Price Cemetery, 11555 Price Road NE., Little Orleans, MD.
