Pearl Russakoff

Warfordsburg, Pa.

Pearl Mae Russakoff, age 94, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away at the Fulton County Medical Center, in McConnellsburg, Pa., on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Born Monday, June 25, 1923, in Durbin, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Troxie (Townsend) Brubaker, and the widow of her first husband, Michael Miller Spinoe, and her second husband, Abraham Albert Russakoff.

She was employed for twenty years by the Prince George’s County school system as a cafeteria worker.

She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star; and the Braddock Grange No. 365, in Frederick, Md.

Pearl is survived by a daughter-in-law, Patricia Spinoe, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; a granddaughter, Karrie Coble and her husband, Scott, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two grandsons, Michael L. Spinoe, Jr., of Frederick, Md.; and Steven M. Spinoe and his wife, Laura, of Mercersburg, Pa.; six great-grandchildren, Scott Coble, Jr., Kelly Smith and her husband Travis, Michael Coble, Ian Taylor Spinoe, Jack Spinoe and Cora Rose Spinoe; seven great-great-grandchildren, Tyler Coble, Evan Coble, Ayden Coble, Leon Estrada Smith, Kaelynn Estrada Smith, Storm Smith and Araya Smith; and two sisters, Donna Cunkelman and her husband, Wayne, and Doris Atwood.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lee Spinoe; a brother, Harry Brubaker; a sister, Gladys Simmons; and her step-mother, Vina Hottinger.

There will be a gathering of friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Richard L. Bernhard officiating. Burial will follow, at a later date, in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, in Frederick, Md.
