Paul Martin Iden, Sr., age 84, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the Veterans Administration Hospital, in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born October 2, 1935, in Buck Valley, Pa., he was the son of the late Ernest and Ethel (Stotler) Iden; and the widower of Linda Mae (French) Iden, who passed away on February 12, 2020.
He was a veteran of the US Army; worked twenty years in construction; and retired from employment with the Washington County Roads Dept. after twenty years. He enjoyed camping, and fishing on the Potomac river.
He is survived by one daughter, Karen L. Iden and her companion, Robert Bowers, of Pennsboro, W.Va.; one son, Paul M. Iden, Jr. and his wife, Joann, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; three grandchildren, Bradley Iden, Kyle Mellott, and Amanda Iden; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Iden, Gaige Zahm, and Jaslyn Zahm.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Mills, Catherine Getson, and Patricia Morris; and seven brothers, Jim, Harry, Kenneth, Fred, June, Melvin and Floyd Iden.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Orchard Ridge First Church of God cemetery.
