Nita Elaine White, age 50, of Buck Valley, died on Monday, May 5, 2014 at her home.

Born October 20, 1963, in McConnellsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Catherine Manning Beatty, of Buck Valley, and the late Seibert Beatty, who died in 1973.

She was a 1981 graduate of Southern Fulton High School, and a graduate of Hagerstown Junior College with an Associates Degree.

She had been employed with the Tri-State Medical Center, in Hancock, Md., as a Medical Transcriptionist.

She was a volunteer for the Morgan County Humane Society.

She was a member of the Needmore Bible Church.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband Douglas C. White; two sons, Faron Weller and Dillon White, both of Buck Valley; one stepson, Joseph R. Roberts, of Toledo, Oh.; one step-daughter, Jessica Roberts, of Jacksonville, Fl.; one sister, Faye Matthews, of McConnellsburg, Pa.; two brothers, Randy Beatty and Merle Beatty, both of Buck Valley; and three grandchildren.

Besides her father, she was also preceded in death by one son, Matthew Lynn Weller; and one daughter, Danae White.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 8, at 1:00 p.m., at the Buck Valley Christian Cemetery, 2281 Harmonia Road. Rev. Doug Poffenberger will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md, funeral home will be open 2-8 p.m. for convenience of family and friends.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dillon White College Fund, c/o Susquehanna Bank, 131 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. 21750
