Nellie Ivalee Cain Lutman, age 90, formerly of Hancock, and a resident of Autumn Acres, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born June 15, 1921, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Brenton and Claudia Hovermale Cain, and the widow of Charles Ray Barker Lutman, who passed away October 27, 1999.

Nellie was formerly employed by Interwoven Stocking Mills, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and later with the former Hancock Motel, in Hancock, Md.

Nellie was a member of the Hancock United Methodist Church, in Hancock, Md.

Nellie is survived by one brother, Joseph Cain, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces; and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Julia Clark; and three brothers, Oscar Cain, Ray Cain and Ralph Cain.

A service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, at 11:00 a.m., at the Grove Funeral Home in Hancock, Md. Rev. Duane Jensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Highland United Methodist Cemetery in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Home will also be open from 9:00 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock United Methodist Church, 168 W. Main St., Hancock, Md. 21750, or to the Highland United Methodist Church, c/o Melinda Michael, 2431 Spriggs Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. 25411.
