Neal Bennett Gladhill

Neal Bennett Gladhill, 92, of Big Pool, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Born, Friday, May 11 ,1934, in Big Pool, Maryland, he was the son of the late Millard and Mary Mills Gladhill.

Neal was a graduate of Clear Spring High School, Class of 1952. He worked for Fairchild, Hagerstown, MD, for over ten years, and the Western Maryland Railroad for over twenty years, retiring in 1980.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially his fishing trips in Canada.

Neal was a member of Conococheague Sportsman Club of Sharpsburg, MD, and the NRA.

He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Hull and husband Dale of Clear Spring, MD, Beverly Mason and husband Kenny of Clear Spring, MD, and Justine Gladhill of Clear Spring, MD; eight grandchildren, Travis, Stacy, Kenny, Brandy, Todd, Amanda, Emily, and Willie; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Marie Hart Gladhill; one daughter, Linda Johnson; one son, Neal Gladhill, Jr.; two grandchildren, Ashley Gladhill and Theron Gladhill; one sister, Betty Gladhill Mills; seven brothers, Wallace Reed, Elton Reed, Warren Reed, Thurlon Gladhill, Otis Gladhill, Ennis Gladhill, and Wendell Gladhill.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 12:00p.m., at Park Head Cemetery, 9512 National Pike, Big Pool, MD 21711. Pastor Randy Bivens will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Neal’s name can be made to the Park Head Fellowship Hall
