Mary Magdeline Munson, age 94, formerly of Hancock, and a resident of Berkeley Springs Rehab and Nursing, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the facility.

Born September 16, 1920, in Little Orleans, Md., she was the daughter of the late Jonas and Queen Esther Barnes Sullivan Potts, and the widow of Norman R. Munson, who died December 8, 1992.

She was a homemaker, and was formerly employed by Blue Goose Orchards, in Hancock.

She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, and attended Grace Christian Fellowship Church, in Hancock.

She was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post #26 American Legion, in Hancock, and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

She is survived by four daughters, Alice G. Golden, of Berryville, Va., Barbara J. Golden, of Warfordsburg, Pa., Cathi Davis, of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Virginia Bivens, of Hancock; two sons, Stanley N. Munson, of Hagerstown, Md., and Richard A. Munson, of Hancock; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Ralph Lee Munson and Charles G. Munson; one daughter, Norma Jean Yost; grandchildren, Billy Munson, James Munson, Elizabeth Golden, Aaron Fletcher, and Alison Munson; four sisters, Sara Sipes, Nora Krismincie, Katie McCusker, and Virginia Blackburn; and two brothers, Gordon Sullivan and Lee Sullivan.

A service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 130 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Hancock, Md. Rev. Edward Guyer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Cemetery, in Hancock.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday, from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
