Mary Keefer

Mary Margaret Keefer, age 91, of Warfordsburg, died Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the Berkeley Springs Rehab and Nursing Center in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born May 27, 1922, at Cohill Station, Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Wesley Elverson and Mary E. Hixon Graham, and the widow of Lee E. Keefer.

She was a homemaker, and a member of the Warfordsburg United Methodist Church.

She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 77, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary J. Chalupka, of Warfordsburg; four granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Harold Lee Keefer; one granddaughter; four brothers, Wesley Graham, Vernon Graham, Roger Graham, and Clyde Graham; and three sisters, Martha Genthner, Ethel Snow, and Gladys Weller.

A service will be held on Monday, December 23, at 11:00 a.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Rev. Frank Kocek will officiate. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, in McConnellsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
