Mary Ann Golden, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Doey’s House, Hagerstown, MD, surrounded by her beloved husband and family.
Born on Friday, August 21, 1942, in Hancock, MD, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Donald R. and Virginia Jean Corbett. She was preceded in death by her son, Marvin Leslie “Les” Golden III.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Hancock High School, and was a devoted member of Hancock Assembly of God, with great pride and love, she served as a bus driver for children for forty-three years.
Her life was defined by faith, family, and kindness. She had a quiet strength and a nurturing spirit that touched everyone who knew her. Whether offering a warm meal, wise words, or simply her gentle presence, Mary Ann made others feel seen, supported, and loved.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Marvin Leslie Golden Jr., who remained her steadfast partner and best friend through nearly seven decades of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with deep love, strong values, and joyful memories.
She also leaves behind her daughters, Tammy Zahm (Robert) and Julie Farris (Kevin); her son, Randall Golden (Tammy); and her daughter-in-law, Lindy Golden-Morris. Mary Ann was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Bowers, and brothers, Donald Corbett and Ronald Corbett.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at Hancock Assembly of God, 431 N Pennsylvania Ave, Hancock, MD 21750.
Funeral service will follow the viewing at the church on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 12:00p.m. Rev. Richard L. Bernhard will officiate. Burial will follow at Catalpa United Methodist Cemetery, 12343 Willow Road, Hancock, MD 21750.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Washington County and Doey’s House for the compassionate care provided during Mary Ann’s final days.
