Mary Emma Clingerman age 91 of Locust Grove Road, died Monday December 14, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD.
Born April 9, 1918 in Artemas, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Rozella Clingerman Bishop and the widow of the late William Delbert "Deb" Clingerman, who died February 20, 1992.
She was formerly employed with Glen L. Martin in Baltimore, MD.
She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Warfordsburg, PA.
She is survived by three daughters, Janet F. Wigfield and Pamela E. Shives both of Warfordsburg, PA, Doris M. Shives of Hancock, MD, one sister, Betty Beaver of Winfield, PA, one brother, Ezra Bishop of Wolcott, NY, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Melissa Ann Butterbaugh and David Scott Shives two sisters, Edna True and Elsie Weicht, three brothers, Watson Bishop, John Bishop and Wilbert Bishop.
A service will be held Friday December 18, at 11:00 a.m. at the Jerusalem Christian Church, Warfordsburg, PA, Rev. Delmas Bard will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, MD and at the church on Friday 10-11 a.m.
