Margaret “Peggy” Rose Ann (Mills) McAllister, age 81, of Hancock, died onThursday, May 19, 2016 at her home.

Born November 21, 1934, in Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Wavy (Stotler) Mills. She was the widow of her first husband, Donald F. Burnett, and her second husband, William Wayne McAllister, who died in February, 2014.

Peggy attended Southern Fulton Schools.

She was a homemaker. Previously she had worked for fifty years at the Park-N-Dine Restaurant, in Hancock.

She was a member of the Hancock United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Webster B. Harrison Post 26 Ladies Auxiliary, in Hancock; and Chapter # 77 Order of the Eastern Star, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Peggy will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who, through the years, enjoyed decorating her home inside and outside; cleaning; exercising at the gym; and gardening.  She loved to work in her flower garden, and she was devoted to her appearance.  She always kept up with the latest trends in fashion, and she was always beautiful in her appearance.  She loved to spend time with her family, and enjoyed going to Ocean City, Md. in the summer.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Burnett and friend, Tammy Miller, of Hopewell, Pa., Brenda Pittman and husband, Basil, of Newburg, Pa., and Tina Younker and husband, Sam, of Hancock; two sons, Don Burnett and wife, Robin, of Hancock, and Scott McAllister and wife, Janet, of Charles Town, W.Va.; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her two husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Erica Dawn Burnett, three brothers and three sisters.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, May 27, from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hancock United Methodist Church, 170 West Main Street, Hancock. Rev. Michael Bynum will officiate. Burial will follow at the Alpine United Methodist Cemetery, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
