Mae Smith

Mae Lorraine Smith, 80, Warfordsburg, PA., passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Born June 6, 1942, in Buck Valley, PA., she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Ward Shank, and the widower of Ray Smith.

She is survived by a son, Mark Smith, McConnellsburg, PA; a granddaughter, Victoria Smith, Carlisle, PA; and four brothers, Vaughn Shank, Warfordsburg, PA., Frank Remsburg, Warfordsburg, PA., Wayne Ward, Hedgesville, WV., and Darin Shank, Warfordsburg, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Smith, and a brother, George Shank.

The family will receive friends, Friday, June 2, 2023, 10am-12pm at Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, MD. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12:00 noon. Pastor Richard Bernhard will officiate. Burial will be in Buck Valley Methodist Church Cemetery.
