Laura Mildred Landers, age 96, of Mercersburg, Pa., died on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care, in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born March 26, 1918, in Harrisonville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Sipes Schooley, and the widow of Ralph H. Landers, who died October 9, 1994.

She was a homemaker, and attended Rehobeth United Methodist Church, in Mercersburg, Pa.

She is survived by three sons, Rodger W. Landers and Homer J. Landers, both of Mercersburg, and Harry R. Landers, of Antonito, Co.; one sister, Ruth Fischer, of Great Cacapon, W.Va.; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Lester Landers; one sister, Ethel Lowery; and two brothers, Russell and Kenneth Schooley.

A service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Rev. Loy Garber will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rehobeth United Methodist Cemetery, 2328 Tollgate Ridge Road, Mercersburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions, in her name, may be made to the Fulton County Medical Center, Long Term Care, 214 Peach Orchard Road, McConnellsburg, Pa. 17233-1399.
