Larry Glen Trail, age 72, of Warfordsburg, Pa., died on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.

Born Saturday, August 5, 1944, in Hancock, Md., he was the son of the late John W. and Rintha G. (Clingerman) Trail, and the husband of Cynthia A. (Golden) Trail, whom he married on August 5, 1984.

He was a 1962 graduate of Hancock High School, where he lettered in wrestling.

He retired from C. Wm. Hetzer, Inc. in 2007. His previous employment included 17 years with R.F. Kline, Inc. and several years with Fleetwood Travel Trailers, in Hancock, Md.

He attended the Alpine United Methodist Church, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Angela (Trail) Fox, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Tracy (Trail) Mahan, of Soquel, Ca., and Brandi (Shoemaker) Mellott, of Hagerstown, Md.; one son, Christopher Shoemaker, of Hancock, Md.; two sisters, Jean Powers, of Hancock, Md., and Linda Bain, of Needmore, Pa.; two brothers, Norman Trail and Ronnie Trail, both of Hancock, Md.; thirteen grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy (Trail) DiNenna; three brothers, John Junior Trail, Walter “Tootie” Trail, and an infant brother; and one sister, Idella Lucas.

A Memorial service will be held at the Hancock United Methodist Church, 170 West Main Street, Hancock on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kenneth Mason will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.,

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
