Larry P. Morris, age 72, of Warfordsburg, died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born September 22, 1941, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Floyd and Mirriam Shaffer Morris.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served in Viet Nam.

He was a self-employed painter, and a member of the V.F.W. Post 8333, in Breezewood, Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann Iden Morris; three sons, Frank Mills, of Warfordsburg, Rodney Mills, and Randy Mills, both of McConnellsburg, Pa.; one daughter, Bonnie Jean Miller, of Cabins, W.Va.; two brothers, Max Morris, of Frederick, Md., and Keith Morris, of Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Rev. William Swope will officiate. Burial, with a military graveside service by the Tri-State Honor Guard, will be in the Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
