Kaleva “Kal” Leino, 90, of Hancock, Maryland, died on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the War Memorial Hospital, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born Monday, August 2, 1926, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Kauko and Hilga Maria Leino; and the widower of his wife, Lucy M. (Pellegrini) Leino, whom he married November 18, 1945.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WW2.
He retired from his position as supervisor at Bethlehem Steel in 1983.
He was a member of the Webster B Harrison Post # 26 American Legion, in Hancock.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother; a sister, Kaino Karen (Leino) Kaufmann; a son, Glenn Karl Leino; and a daughter, Karen Marie.
