In Loving Memory of Julia Ann (Decker) Bard
November 30, 1957 – October 21, 2026
Julia Ann (Decker) Bard was a loving wife, sister, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a treasured friend; whose life was defined by a heart that gave endlessly to others.
To know Julia was to know what it meant to be loved. She was a selfless woman who always put others before herself, never hesitating to give her time, energy, and love to those around her. Her family was her greatest joy, and she showed her love in countless ways. She especially enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and playing bingo with her dearest friends.
Julia was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Wilma (Shaw) Decker.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lynn Bard of Warfordsburg; her siblings, sister Gloria (late Harry) Lanehart of Bowling Green, FL, brothers Lloyd Decker Jr. of Warfordsburg, and Buddy (Cindy) Decker of Falling Waters, WV; her daughters, Melissa (Ron) Golden of Warfordsburg, April (Clayton) McLaurin of Hancock, and Tiffany Swope of Warfordsburg; her grandchildren, Brady and Ally Golden, Baylee and Alyssa Morris, Brianna Strait, Colby Swope, and Lincoln Fleegle; and her great-grandson, Braxton Golden. She also leaves behind numerous family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by two of her children, Donald Swope Jr. and Sharon (Swope) Fleegle.
Julia's love, kindness, and selflessness touched the lives of so many. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date to honor Julia and gather with family and friends to remember and celebrate her life.
Arrangements were entrusted to Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 W Main St, Hancock, MD 21750. Online condolences can be expressed to the family at www.grfuneralhome.net.
