John Andrew Murray, age 29, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.

Born June 1, 1986, he was the son of Trixy Ann (Younker) Murray, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., and John Marshall Murray, of North Dakota. He was the grandson of Charlotte (Moats) Younker, of Big Cove Tannery, and Vaughn Younker, of Falling Waters, W.Va.

He was a graduate of Southern Fulton High School, in Warfordsburg, Pa.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he is survived by two sisters, Josi Murray, of Big Cove Tannery, and Jessie Murray, of Frostburg, Md.; one brother, Jeremey Strickland, of Big Cove Tannery; one niece, Taylor M. Devore; and two nephews, Joshua Allen Mellott, Jr., and Jayce Weber.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., at 6:00 p.m. Rev. James Mueller will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time for the memorial service.
