Jeb enlisted in the U.S Marine Corps upon his high school graduation, and served from 2011 until 2015, and completed two tours in Afghanistan. Corporal Jebediah B. Williams was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties, by serving as lead Husky mine detector vehicle operator of the Route Clearance Platoon 2, Route Clearance Co. 2D Combat Engineer Battalion, Marine Expeditionary Brigade, in Afghanistan, from June 11 to 13, 2014, for forty-two continuous hours, without exiting his vehicle for any significant length of time. Operating night and day, he cleared over 100 kilometers of terrain laden with improvised explosive devices.
