Janet Winifred Shupp, 71, of Hancock, Md., died on Saturday, January 7, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born Saturday, December 8, 1945, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Melvin E. and Margaret M. (Bell) Gladhill; and the widow of her husband, Elmer Leroy Shupp, Jr., whom she married June 5, 1963 in Clear Spring, Md., and who died October 1, 2016.

She was a Christian.

She retired from her job as an assembler with World Kitchens, in Greencastle, Pa.

She is survived by one son, Daniel Shupp, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a sister, Mary Baldasano, of Burnt, Nv.; two grandsons, Jacob and Levi Shupp, both of  Berkeley Springs.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Stotler and Mary Breakall; and one brother, Melvin O. Gladhill.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
