Homer L. Manning, age 74, of Hancock, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 27, 2012, from complications of Parkinson’s.

Born August 20, 1937, in Hancock, he was the son of the late William and Mable Paylor Manning.

He worked out of the Baltimore Carpenters' Local #101.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Imes) Manning; one son, Steven Manning and wife, Karen, of Hancock; daughter, Cynthia Scott, of Hancock; Bait Manning, of Hancock; grandchildren, Candian Manning, Logan Manning, Jason Hohn, Ayden Hohn, and Patrick Scott; wonderful great-grandchildren, Braxton and Carolyn Hohn; sisters, Mary F. Crawford, of Greencastle, Pa. and Catherine Hiles, of North Rose, N.Y.; and brother, Duck Manning, of Hancock. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brother, Pete Manning; and sister, JoAnn Boyer.

There will be no visitation, and burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. 21742.

Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md.
