Hilda F. Hejl, age 89, of Needmore, died on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Facility, in McConnellsburg, Pa.
Born July 21, 1925, in Marion, Va., she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Dora Anderson Wilson, and the widow of Louis F. Hejl, Sr., who died March 18, 2012.
She was a homemaker, and she was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda L. Pappas, of Baltimore, Md., Wanda G. Woodal and husband, Tommy, of Needmore, and Dora “Dee” Pinder, of Easton, Md.; four sons, Joseph D. Harvey, Sr. and wife, Peggy, of Needmore, Richard W. Harvey and wife, Ellen, of Chambersburg, Pa., Louis F. Hejl, Jr., of Parkton, Md., and Thomas Hejl, of Prince Frederick, Md.; four sisters, Ella Hardesty, of Lothian, Md., Jean King, of Lakeland, Fl., Opal Good, of Roseville, Ca., and Goldie Medley, of Upper Marlboro, Md.; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two grandsons.
A service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Rev. Dick Bernard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, in McConnellsburg, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions, in her name, may be made to the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care, 214 Peach Orchard Road, McConnellsburg, Pa. 17233.
