Helen A. “Dee” Younker, age 83, of Hancock, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Autumn Assisted Living, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born November 2, 1931, in Harrisonburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Bessie E. Shifflet Morris, and the widow of Harry C. Younker, who died August 31, 1984.

She was retired from Fleetwood Industries, in Hancock, and had previously been employed with Blue Goose, Marvania, Locher and Hepburn Orchards, in Hancock.

She was of the protestant faith.

She is survived by three daughters, Joyce E. Trail, of Warfordsburg, Pa., Diana Crouse and husband, Curtis, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., and Brenda L. Courtney and husband, Steve, of Hancock; three sons, Wayne A. Younker and wife, Linda, Samuel L. Younker and wife, Tina, all of Hancock, and Steven J. Younker, of Hagerstown, Md.; four sisters, Ruby Kyger, of Elkton, W.Va., Donna Cubbage and Evelyn Smith, both of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Elvarene Vanorsdale, of Hancock; one brother, Kenneth Morris, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia A. Warner; one son, Cletus E. Younker; one granddaughter, Melissa Williams; three sisters, Lucille Mase, Myrtle Green and Charlene Conky; and four brothers, Robert Shifflet, James Morris, Sr., Norman Morris and John Lee Morris.

A service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hancock Assembly of God Church, 431 North Pennsylvania Ave., Hancock, Md. Chaplin Mike Simane will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, in Williamsport, Md.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Church on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. 21740.
