Helen Arlene Singleton, age 89, of Hancock, went to her Heavenly home on  Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Reeder’s Memorial Home, in Boonsboro, Md.

Born March 12, 1924, in Pinesburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Arlie and Pansy Truax Spade.

She was a homemaker, and a member of the Hancock Assembly of God.

She is survived by one son, Lynn Singleton, of Little Orleans, Md.; one daughter, Carol Zimmerman, of Hancock, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen June Singleton; one sister, Opal Ward and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Zimmerman.

A service will be held on Friday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hancock Assembly of God, 431 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Hancock. Pastor Don Preston will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Christian Cemetery, in Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday.

Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md.
