Hazel Kolpack

Hazel Ruby Kolpack, age 85, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012, at Lions Center Nursing Home, in Cumberland, Md.

Hazel was born in Culpepper, Va., on January 14, 1927. She was a retired elementary school teacher, from Anne Arundel County, and had been living in Allegany County since 1988.  She attended the Piney Plains United Methodist Church, in Little Orleans.

Hazel is survived by her son Philip L. Kolpack, Jr. and his wife, Ann; two granddaughters, Angela Butynski and her husband, Michael, and Kristine Gesuele and her husband, Adam; as well as two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Katherine Gesuele.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, of fifty years, Philip Kolpack, Sr.; her three brothers; and her half-sister.

Hazel will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main Street, Hancock, Md.
