Harry Herbert Taylor, age 88, of Hancock, Md., died on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at his home.

Born November 28, 1928, in Hancock, he was the son of Jesse and ElizabethTaylor, and the widower of Ruth (Truax) Taylor, who died December 28, 2014.

He was a graduate of Hancock High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.

Harry retired from Colonial Hardware, in Hagerstown, Md., where he was a carpenter.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one son, Roger L. Taylor, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Crystal Taylor; and a great-granddaughter, Trinity Divel, both of Berkeley Springs.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lisa Mellott and Helen Smith; and four brothers, Ed Taylor, Charles Taylor, Walt Taylor and Floyd Taylor.

It was Harry’s request that there be no visitation or service.
