Harold Dean McCusker

Harold Dean McCusker, 65, of Hancock, MD, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at his residence.

Born, Monday, February 29, 1960, in Berkeley Springs, WV, he was the son of the late Kenneth L. McCusker, Sr. and Berthaleen E. Helmick.

Harold was a graduate of Hancock High School Class of 1978. He went on to work for Kirk Ford for many years as a tow truck and rollback operator, which he enjoyed.

He was a member of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, Hancock, MD. He enjoyed mowing grass and fixing up the land on his uncle, Loyal McCusker’s farm for many years.

Harold is survived by four sisters, Linda and husband Steven Startzman, Barbara and husband David Hornbaker, Sharon Mason, and Ramona and husband Arthur McKinley; two brothers, Kenny and wife Lora McCusker, and Dale and wife Reba McCusker.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by one brother Gerald McCusker and two sisters, Pamela Sue McCusker and Mary Jane McCusker.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 14253 Exline Road, Hancock, MD 21750, with one-hour prior visitation. Reverend Ron Martin Minnich will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold’s name can be made to Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church.
