Frances Thompson

Frances May Thompson, age 73, of Warfordsburg, died Monday, October 22, 2012, at her home.

Born June 26, 1939, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Anna Laura Hines Hiles, and the widow of Earlston Eugene Thompson, Sr., who died on November 19, 2005.

She had been employed at Little Sandy’s Restaurant, in Hancock, Md.

She attended St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, in Hancock.

She is survived by two daughters, Virgie Iden, of Hancock, and Malindia Miller, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one son, Raymond Fischer, of Warfordsburg; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Earlston Eugene Thompson, Jr.; and a great-grandmother, Beulah Mae Hines.

A service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, at 1:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock. Evangelist Timothy L. Swindell, Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, Md.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
