Fern Plessinger

Fern Annie Plessinger, age 81, of Warfordsburg, died on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Woodland Retirement Community in Orbisonia, Pa.

Born February 24, 1933, in Amaranth, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ada Hurley Plessinger.

She was a 1951 graduate of Warfordsburg High School.

She was formerly employed as a secretary by Rauth Motors,Inc. in Hancock, Md., until she was seriously injured in an automobile accident in 1955.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hancock Ward.

She is survived by one sister, Belva A. Schriever, of Warfordsburg; one brother, Elmer Plessinger, of Mercersburg, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Blair Plessinger and Cloyd Plessinger

A service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 200 Douglas Street, Hancock, Md. Elder Gary Plessinger will officiate. Burial will be in the Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., and on Wednesday at the Church, from 12 to 1 p.m.
