Fayetta Egolf

Hancock, Maryland

Fayetta H. Egolf, died on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Golden Living Center, in Hagerstown, Md. She was a long-time resident of Hancock.

Born September 27, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Keefer) Younker. She was the widow of George Leroy Egolf, whom she married June 3, 1942, and who died September 4, 2010.

She is survived by three daughters, Carolle Plotner and husband, Willis, Darlene Smith and husband, Paul, and Kathy Funk and husband, Robert, all of Hancock; s ix grandchildren, Paul Smith, Jr. and wife, Connie, of Mercersburg, Pa., Daniel Smith and wife, Rhonda, of Hancock, Holley Funk, of Hancock, Olivia (Funk) Swadley and husband, Ben, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., Ryan Funk, and Leah Funk, both of Hancock; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Reams, Carrie Moats, and Achsa (Axie) Shoemaker.

A service will be held at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Monday, June 8, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mike Simane will officiate. Burial will follow in the Stone Bridge Cemetery, near Hancock.

Family will receive friends at Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m.
