Elton Louise Shoemaker, age 75, of Hancock, Md., died on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.
Born April, 8, 1941, in Little Orleans, Md., she was the daughter of Joseph W. and Dorothy E. (Leasure) Price, of Little Orleans. She is the wife of Robert L. Shoemaker, of Hancock, whom she married at the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren on January 8, 1960.
She attended the Hancock Presbyterian Church.
She attended Flintstone, Md. schools, and graduated from Hancock Middle/Senior High School in 1959.
She was the Office Manager for 35 years at the former Kirk Ford Sales in Hancock.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one daughter, Robin L. Carbaugh and husband, Scott, of Hancock; and one brother, Kenton Price, of Little Orleans; a granddaughter, Sydney Weller and partner, David Gaver, of Hancock; grandchildren, Brandon Carbaugh and wife, Mellisa, of Hancock, and Brianna Carbaugh; step-great-grandchildren, Addison and Landon ; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hancock Presbyterian Church, 17 East Main Street, Hancock. Pastor Terry Martin-Minnich will officiate. Burial will follow in the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, on Hollow Road in Hancock.
