Elaine Ann Weller, age 71, of Hancock, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md.
Born January 6, 1941, in Grazier, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael Walter and Anna Louise Kososki Golden.
She retired in 2003 from the Washington County Board of Education, after 33 years as an Instructional Assistant.
She was a member of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, in Hancock, Md.
She is survived by four daughters; Michelle McCarty, and Margory Smith, both of Hagerstown, Md., Laura Robair-Bivens, and Cheryl Robair, both of Hancock, Md.; two sons, Michael Weller, of St. Augustine, Fl., and Stephen Robair, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; one sister, Dorothy Poffenberger, of Hagerstown, Md.; twenty-one grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice J. Golden Hoffman, in 1975, and Judy Golden, at birth.
A service will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, 2 E. High Street, Hancock, Md. Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
