Eileen Orth
Eileen Lee Orth, age 68, formerly of Warfordsburg, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011, at the Williamsport Nursing Home, following a long illness, surrounded by her family.
Born April 3, 1943, in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Louis and Sophia Zakrzewski Orth.
She was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church, Hancock, Md.
Before entering the nursing home, she belonged to the Warfordsburg Senior Center, where she spent many happy hours among friends.
Eileen was a sweet, gentle person. She greatly loved her family.
She is survived by a sister, Susan Miller and husband, Lewis, of Warfordsburg; one niece, Amanda Miller; one nephew Kenneth Miller; as well as great-nieces Claire, and Sophia; and one great-nephew, Alex.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Louis Orth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, Hancock, Md. Rev. John Lombardi will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, in Baltimore, Md.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home Hancock, Md.
