Edward O. Winfield, age 66, of Little Orleans, Md., died on Monday, March 2, 2015, at his home.

Born December 15, 1948, in Frostburg, Md., he was the son of the late Paul and Anna Ruth Robeson Winfield.

He was employed as a meat cutter by Safeway, in Leesburg, Va.

He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force in Viet Nam, where he received the Purple Heart.

He was a member of the Piney Plains United Methodist Church, in Little Orleans, Md.

He was a member of the Orleans Volunteer Fire Department; a member of the Allegany County Fire Police; the American Legion; and the Order of the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Price Winfield, whom he married August 25, 1979, at the Piney Plains United Methodist Church. Also surviving are his precious pets, Toni and Ziva.

A service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Rev. John Close will officiate. Burial, with a military service by the Tri-State Honor Guard, will be in the Price Weslyan Cemetery, 11555 Price Road N.E., Little Orleans, Md.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
