Edward Riley Fling

Edward Riley Fling, 75, Needmore, PA., passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at the home of his fiancé, Janet Layton.

Born Saturday, March 12, 1949, in Berkeley Springs, WV., he was the son of the late John Edward and Gladys Harriet (Stotler) Fling of Hancock, MD.

He was a 1967 graduate of Hancock High School.

He is survived by three children, daughter, Belinda, and husband, Russel Lake, of Chambersburg, PA., son, Todd, and wife, Linda Fling, of Warfordsburg, PA., and daughter, Elissa, and husband, Nathan Weirich, of Sharpsburg, MD., eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Flowers, of Myrtle Beach, SC.; two nieces; and one nephew.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Wesleyan Chapel, 76 Vernon St., Berkeley Springs, WV. Pastor Matthew Swope will officiate.

Memorial donations can be made in Edward’s name to Hospice of Allegany County, UPMC Western Maryland Hospice Service, 1050 West Industrial BLVD., Cumberland, MD 21502, or to Wesleyan Chapel, 76 Vernon St., Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
