Dwight Dorsey Kerns, age 65, of Greencastle, Pa., died on Friday, September 11, 2015, at his home.

Born June 26, 1950, he was the son of the late Gilbert D. and Mary C. Peck Kerns.

He was retired from Family Home Care.

He is survived by four sisters, Velma Keller, of Greencastle, Phyllis Batt, of Hagerstown, Md., Janette Hull and Faye Moats, both of Hancock, Md.; one brother, Alston Kerns, of Fisher, IL.

He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Katherine Miller, Edna True, Violet Messner, and Ada Kerns; and four brothers, Harry Kerns, Robert Kerns, Cletus Kerns, and Melvin Kerns.

A service will be held on Monday, September 14, at 1:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Md. Pastor Jack Payne will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Cemetery, in Hancock, Md.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday from 12 until 1 p.m.

Memorial contributions, in his name, may be made to the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. 21750, to help defray funeral expenses.
