Dorothy Ada Mellott, age 78, of Needmore Pa., died on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Hershey Medical Center, in Hershey, Pa.

Born Friday, June 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Frances (Wigfield) Mellott.

She was a member of the Needmore Bible Church, in Needmore.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Hendershot; one grandson, Billy Pittman; two great-grandsons, Hunter and Logan Hendershot; one brother, Ira W. Mellott, of Needmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. Rev. Carl Sipes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, in Needmore.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday, December 15, 2016, from 2 until 4:00 p.m., and 6 until 8:00 p.m.
