Doris Souders

Doris Jean (Diehl) Souders, age 80, of Hancock, Md.,  passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2107 at Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born December 15, 1936, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late John, Sr. and Goldie (Clingerman) Diehl, and the wife of Lester Junior “Fuzzy” Souders.

She was a 1954 graduate of Hancock High School, and had worked as a trimmer at Londontown Manufacturing Company.

She attended the Needmore Bible Church, in Needmore, Pa.

In addition to her husband, Lester, she is survived by a son, Kevin L. Souders and his wife, Donna, of Hancock; a sister, Olive Divelbliss , of Hancock; and two brothers, John Diehl, Jr., of Hancock, and Charles Diehl, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by one sister, Vera Michael.

The family will receive friends at the Needmore Bible Church, in Needmore, Pa., on Friday, November 10, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the Church on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Doug Poffenberger officiating. Burial will follow in the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
