Donna Marie Schetrompf, age 59, of Hancock, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born December 24, 1952, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of Ira Moats, Jr., of Hancock, and the late Virginia Weller Noel; and the wife of Homer E. Schetrompf, Jr., of Hancock, whom she married December 5, 1969, in Hancock.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Webster B. Harrison Post #26 American Legion Auxillary.

She was a member of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, in Hancock.

Besides her father and husband, she is survived by two sons, Homer E. Schetrompf, III, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Mark Allen Schetrompf, of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Norma Evans, and Linda McCusker, both of Hancock; one brother, Randy Moats, of Hancock; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Charlene Schetrompf, who died January 20, 2009.

A service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, Hancock. Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, Pa.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Homer, to help defray medical and funeral expenses.
