Donald I. Divel, age 80, of Hancock, Md., died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at his home in Hancock.
Born February 13, 1932, near Cohill Station, Hancock, he was the son of the late Lester and Hilda Peck Divel, and husband of Shirley Cubbage Divel.
He was retired from the US Air Force.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Donna Tritle, and Pamela Divel, both of Waynesboro, Pa.; one sister, Maxine Fleming, of Clear Spring; and brother, William Divel, of Nevada; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Babette Divel; and a son, Donald I. Divel, Jr.
A Military Service by the Tri-State Honor Guard was held Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 3:00 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md., where there was a gathering of family and friends from 1 to 3 p.m.
