David Kerns

David Neil Kerns, age 66, of Hancock, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at his home.

Born in Fulton County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Ida G. Barnhart Kerns.

He was employed with Goodwill Industries at the Sidling Hill Welcome Center.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jean McCusker Kerns, whom he married April 2, 1968; two daughters, Diana Fay Stevens, and Brandi Jean Trail, both of Hancock; one son, David Joshua Kerns, of Hancock; four sisters, Isabelle Keefer, Irene Kerns, Janet Deneen, and Dorothy Kerns; one brother, Melvin Kerns; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one special nephew, Ricky Kerns.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Kerns; and one sister, Catherine Bowers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, at 11:00 a.m., at the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 14253 Exline Road, Hancock, Md. Rev. Philip Unger will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church, on Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m.
