David Quay Helman

David Quay Helman, 72, of Hancock, MD, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at UPMC Harrisburg, PA.

Born August 3, 1953, in McConnellsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Quay Helman and Ruby Hull Helman Swain. He enjoyed watching game shows and professional baseball.

David worked for C. William Hetzer Inc, Hagerstown, MD and the Park-N-Dine, Hancock, MD.

He is survived by his sister, Shelly Swain; uncles Andy and Ralph Hull; and Aunt Anges.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Barry Hull, Tim and Bruce Swain.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00a.m. at Stone Bridge Church Cemetery. Pastor Harry Strite will officiate.
